Trial balance files (.xlsx, .xls, .csv, .pdf, .txt) and connected Google Sheets data you choose to upload.
Usage Data
Pages visited, actions taken within the app, browser type, and IP address via standard server logs.
AI Query Data
Prompts you submit to the AI Analyst feature to generate financial commentary and answers.

How We Use Your Data
Your data is used exclusively to provide and improve the SolveARC Reporting service.
- To authenticate your account and manage invite-only access
- To parse and analyse your financial data and generate dashboards, statements, and ratios
- To sync and read your connected Google Sheet for reporting purposes
- To generate AI-powered financial commentary and executive summaries
- To improve the reliability, performance, and accuracy of the platform
- To send important account or service-related communications

Google Sheets Integration
SolveARC connects to your Google Sheets using read-only access. Here is exactly what that means:
- We request read-only permission to your connected Google Sheet
- We never write to, edit, modify, or delete your sheet or any of its contents
- Sheet data is used solely to run financial analysis within your session
- We do not store your full sheet contents beyond what is needed to run the analysis
- You can disconnect Google Sheets access at any time from the Data Room panel

Your ability to edit your own Google Sheet is entirely separate from our access. You always retain full control of your own files.

AI Processing
SolveARC uses AI to generate financial commentary, executive summaries, and analyst responses.
- The "Read My Financials" feature is processed entirely within our own infrastructure
- Live AI Q&A queries are processed via a protected backend connection
- Your financial data and prompts are never used to train third-party AI models
- API keys are stored in protected server-side environment variables only — never in the browser

Data Sharing
We do not sell or share your personal or financial data with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: Trusted infrastructure partners (e.g. Netlify hosting) who process data solely on our behalf
- Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or regulatory authority
- Business transfer: In the event of a merger or acquisition, with advance notice to users

Data Retention
We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide the service.
- Uploaded financial files are stored for the duration of your active subscription
- Account data is retained until you request deletion or your account is terminated
- You may request complete deletion of your data at any time by contacting us
- Upon deletion request, we will remove your data within 30 days

Security
We take the security of your financial data seriously and implement appropriate technical safeguards.
- Access is invite-only — only pre-approved emails can create accounts
- All connections use HTTPS encryption in transit
- API keys and credentials are stored in protected server-side environment variables
- No sensitive credentials are ever exposed in browser HTML or client-side storage

- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
